sleeping a lot. Probably TB or something... any time now
I'm likely to start coughing up blood flecked phlegm.
That sucks :(
It sounds like covid to me.
Feel better soon.
So not tuberculosis after all - no blood from the lungs.
Dunno if it's covid, and no way to find out short of a trip
to bigtown, which didn't seem advisable in the situation.
Sounds like the same symptoms I had.
FYI it took 4 to 6 weeks to recover from it.
I don't have that kind of time... I have things to do.
You can still watch tv or sit outside and drink coffee.
Eventually I will have to buy some food. And stuff. Also do some
garden things.
Sure.
You mean the garden things that you should have done 2 months ago?
Those, and the things I should have done in between then and now.
And the things I should do regularly. And the things related to
the projected pond and stream.
Oh, right.
I can hardly wait to see the pictures.
As said, it could take a while - for now there is only horrendously
unkept lawn.
Replace the grass with clovers.
I have seriously considered that, both for the not mowing and for the
insects. Also there isn't all that muich grass left what with the
patch covered in pine needles and the bits where the moss is winning.
I think I'm going to overseed with clover.
They have some nice mixes at WestCoast seeds:

My neighbours are spraying for mosquitoes which also kills off the
butterflies and other beneficials.
Post by BeHPost by MerlynePost by BeHPost by MerlynePost by BeHPost by MerlynePost by BeHPost by MerlyneI have faith in you.
Well, that's one, at least...
YAY! I'm # 1!
Always.
* rankings based on the number of people in the froup.
Those are the people that matter.
I'm surprised you ranked me above yourself.
I know quite a few unflattering things about me.
Like what?
You chew with your mouth open?
You refuse to trim your jagged, yellow toenails?
Post by BeHPost by MerlynePost by BeHPost by MerlynePost by BeHPost by MerlynePost by BeHPost by MerlynePost by BeHPost by MerlyneWe have free Rapid tests so you can test at home.
We have commercially available rapid test so I can test at
home. The problem is they aren't at my home and I don't care
enough to go find one. I probably need to go to the pharmacy
for it...
It's a handy thing to have around.
It's not going to make this crap go away any faster, though.
No but at least you would know if you have covid or the flu.
And then I someone asks me whether I've had covid I could answer
with some degree of certainty. And then what...
They probably run away because people are still covid shy.
If you know for certain that you've had it, you have to delay any
planned booster shots for at least 6 months.
I don't think there are any plans for further booster shots. Not for
the general public at least.
I think here they recommend a booster every 6 months for at-risk
people and 1 in the Fall every year for everyone else (like the flu
shot).
Yebbut your health system probably also doesn't (illegally) postpone a
whole lot of intestinal cancer operations until it's too late causing
a great big scandal.
Or no one has found out yet.
I'm sure that some people died during covid as a result of postponed
surgeries. Now there is a huge nursing shortage here. Some ERs are being
closed overnights and on weekends.
The news media always finds the one person who is gravely affected by
<insert policy here>.
Post by BeHPost by MerlynePost by BeHPost by MerlynePost by BeHPost by MerlynePost by BeHPost by MerlynePost by BeHPost by MerlynePost by BeHFever is gone, and coughing more or less back to normal
levels, so just the clogged nose and the fatigue to deal
with. Good thing too since I've pretty much run out of
life's essentials and absolutely have to go shopping
tomorrow (today, actually but after sleep).
Too bad you dissuaded me from visiting your garden.
I could have done that.
I did it myself. Twice in two days. But only for the most
pressing needs. And I got tired both times.
*eye roll*
I can tell you are impressed.
Post by MerlynePost by BeHPost by MerlyneI ordered groceries online and had them delivered.
Not really an option around here.
*snickers*
Candy bars aren't a pressing need by any definition.
It's energy food.
That's what they want you to think. It also has rather a lot of sugar...
I can't remember the last time I ate a chocolate bar.
Me either. I think *my* last chocolate bar was a three pack from a
store up the coast when I bonked badly on a ride... Some years back.
I do have a square of 85% chocolate after dinner each night.
You hedonist, you!
Yep. it stops me from craving sweets.

mandate was retracted - I wouldn't want to inflict
whatever-it-is on anyone else (well, almost anyone).
And then I have some surfaces to clean, I guess...
You probably won't reinfect yourself if you don't.
If you clean you'll be tired and need to nap again.
If I sit in the chair for an hour I'll get tired and need to
nap again. It is getting a bit annoying.
Right. And the more you do, the longer it will take to recover.
By that metric I should have been back at full strength a week ago.
The time when you're feverish and in bed doesn't count.
What about the time I'm feverish and not in bed? Or in bed but not feverish?
*smacks you for being annoying*
*feels no pain*
Stop hitting me. It's not nice.
Maybe I like you.
Thats a funny (and somewhat infantile) way of showing it, if so...
If I were seriously, this is where I would become suicidal.
*cough*
I mean I don't like-like you.
I like you as a friend even though you criticize me.
